DEVPRAYAG - HOLY PLACE 

The town is the seat of the pundits of Badrinath Dham. The meaning of  holy town Devprayag according to hindu Methodology  is Godly confluence as "Dev" man's god and "Prayag" means confluence. When you plan for india travel then this is the right place in Uttrakhand.The spiritual town of Devprayag is positioned at an elevation of 800 meters above sea level. When you go back from char dham yatra then Devprayag is the last Prayag or the religious convergence of the holy Alaknanda River, from here that the convergence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi River is known as Ganga(Called Maa Ganga in hindu Religion) this also called Devprayag Sangam.

1- RAGHUNATHJI TEMPLE, DEVPRAYAG (Uttrakhand-India Travel)

RAGHUNATHJI TEMPLE 

There are many tourist place and holy temple in Devprayag. These Devprayag Temple are very popular among the people.One of the them is RAGHUNATHJI  temples which is dedicated to Lord Rama,  As per story , it is believed that Raghunathji temple is to be around 10,000 years old. This Temple is Made up of huge rocks, the temple is situated on the meeting of two holy river Bhagirathi and Alaknanda to form the holy Ganga. Besides the holy temple of Raghunathji, there are many Kund and Tirth in Devprayag in the town like Baital Kund,Surya Kund and Vasisht Kund; Tirth like the Indradyumna Tirth,Pushyamal Tirth, Varah Tirth ; Pushpavatika ; the shrines of Bhushandi, Durga and Vishveshvara ; and also a temple dedicated to Bharata. People belived that A bath at Baithalshila is claimed to medicine leprosy. This also known as Tirukantamenum Kadi Nagar, it is one of the religious 108 Divyadesam that are dedicated to God shri Vishnu.

2- CHANDRABADANI TEMPLE, DEVPRAYAG

This is one of the divine and religious Temple in Devprayag which is Dedicated to Goddess of Power, Chandrabadani Temple preserves an idol of the Goddess Sati in the temple along with ancient statues of devi and there is a iron trishuls which is placed outside the temple. This Temple is approximately 20 Km From Devprayag, the religious Chandrabadani temple is popular for its ancient statues and wall art. There is a natural beauty for this temple .

                                                                      CHANDRABADANI TEMPLE

    

The Temple is approximately  2270 metres above sea level and situated above the top of the Chandrabadani Mountain, which is  dedicated to Devi Sati, the Divinity of Power and the companion  of God ShivJi. Another importance of this temple ,Unlike other temples, the main shrine has no idol of the chief goddess. Instead, Shri Yantra is inscribe on a flat stone surface shaped like the back of a tortoise. Goddess Sati is worshipped in the form of Shri Yantra.
