1-MORTIFICATION OF BHAGIRATH
The legends (Story behind the Ganga
which also called Bhagirathi), it is said that King Sagar, he was the the grandfather
of he King Bhagirath slayed the evils on earth. In order to announce his authority,
he decided to stage an Ashwamedha Yagna. As per rule of Yagna ,During the
Ashwmedha yagna, a horse was supposed to
be let loose to go on an continuous journey across territories all places. In
the course of events, The king of all godes Indra feared by this Yagna that he might be underprivileged
of his holy throne if this yagna got complete. Using his supreme godly powers, he unfairly took away the horse
and then tied it in the ashram of Rishi called Sage Kapila ashram and then the
story started.

GANGA (Bhagirathi) Tale

BY AIR to Gangotri:
From delhi or another place of
airport you can directly reach Jolly
Grant airport, which is in Rishikesh
Road, Dehradun, is the nearest airport to Gangotri. From this Airport you can
use any cab or private vehicle to visit Gangotri.

BY TRAIN visit gangotri:
Regular trains to Haridwar and Dehradun
are available at all times of the year from delhi. Then using a cab or get a bus from here we can easily
reach .

Gangotri dham whic is the main religious and holy places among the four Char Dham yatra of uttrakhand, this temple is situated in Uttarkashi, this temple is closely related to Goddess Ganga(Known as maa ganga), the river that we know as Ganges in hindu culture. The shrine of Gangotri temple is situated at an elevation of approximately 3000 mts, this place is surrounded by hills and there is a nature beauty , constitutes one of the most important pilgrimages and holy place for the devout Hindus and others people. The Gangotri temple was built by a Gorkha Commander which is knonw as Amar Singh Thapa in the early 18th century.
A beautiful picture of the humble of holy of Maa Ganga is placed by the side of Bhagirathi River. This temple is Located in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, the respected temple is one of the holy and religious place of four pilgrimages in the Chota Char Dham yatra of Garhwal Himalayas in uttrakhand . Shivling made from natural rock is immersed under water and is easily visible
in winters when the water recedes. It is said for this holy place that god Shiva sat on while he tied maa Ganga in his tangled
hair. And Dividing it into different streams of water, god Shiva saved the earth
from the heavy force of water of Ganga Devi .
III- GAUMUKH in gangotri dham yatra
Gomukh, which is also known as
"Gaumukh" or some time it called "Gomukhi" is the garage or pout of
the Gangotri Glacier in uttarkashi (Uttrakhand) and the source of the maa ganga called Bhagirathi River, one of the primary head streams of
the Ganges River. The word Gomukh is
derived from (go or gau=cow, mukh=
mouth) which is literally means of Gomukh is "Mouth of a Cow."
The place is situated at a height of (4,000 m) in Uttarkashi district in the state of Uttarakhand, India.To eyewitness of this holy birth of River Ganges or maa ganga at Gaumukh in uttarkashi (uttrakhand), one can take up a picturesque trek surrounded with beautiful peaks with beauty of nature. One can further trek to Tapovan which is about 4 km from Gaumukh. The Tapovan in uttarkashi district has meadows, there are beautiful flowers, and streams and beautiful vies of great Himalayan Peaks such as Shivling and Bhagirathi. This place is very peaceful for tourist among the world and part of inida travel.
